“Keys to the Sky” scavenger hunt official rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Please read these rules (the “Official Rules”) before entering Alaska Airlines’ “Keys to the Sky” scavenger hunt (the “Contest”). You agree that, by participating, you will be bound by these Official Rules and you acknowledge that you satisfy all Contest eligibility requirements.

Eligibility. If you are an individual legal resident of the United States, residing in the state of Washington and are 18 years of age or older, you are eligible to enter the Contest.  Entrants from the other 49 States and the District of Columbia are ineligible to enter or win. Employees of Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air (“Sponsor”, “we” or “Alaska”) and their spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren (“immediate family members”), and Sponsor’s affiliates, advisors or advertising/promotion agencies (and their immediate family members) and all other companies associated with the Contest, and their respective agents, officers, and directors, and all individuals, including, but not limited to, consultants, independent contractors, so-called “temporary employees,” former employees and interns (and their immediate family members) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Sponsor are not eligible to enter or win the Contest.

How to Enter. On October 10, 2014 (“Contest Day”), Alaska will post clues about five (5) mystery locations (the “Locations”) on Alaska’s Instagram (http://instagram.com/alaskaair) and Twitter (http://twitter.com/alaskaair) channels. To enter the contest, participants must decipher hints and go to any Location within two (2) hours of the time that the hint about that Location is revealed. Once at the Location, contestants must find and approach the Alaska representative and say the contest hashtag “#SeattlesAirline” within five (5) feet of the representative.

How Prize Winners will be selected. The first contestant to arrive at each Location and say the contest hashtag #SeattlesAirline to the Alaska representative will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner. The second contestant to arrive at each Location and the say contest hashtag will be deemed a Second Place Winner. Should multiple contestants arrive simultaneously and state the proper hashtag, a coin toss will be held to determine the winner.

Limit—One prize per winner. Contestants may enter the contest at each of the five (5) Locations but can only win once.

Other Promotions. Sponsor may be running a similar contest at the same time as this Contest. By entering this Contest, you will not be eligible to receive any prize awarded in any other contest unless you enter each contest separately.

Prizes. We will award a total of five (5) Grand Winner Prizes and five (5) Second Prize Winners.
